OWH MWT – Father cards

Hello there and happy Wednesday! I cannot catch up this week… my daughters were off school on Monday, so I feel perpetually 24 hours behind, even though I keep reminding myself of the actual date.

Today’s OWH challenge is to make Father’s Day cards. I like to make just Father and Dad cards (and husband, too!) so they can be used longer. 🙂

I also used Sunday’s sketch, which was 218:

OWH MWT- purple and yellow

So I saw this morning’s Operation Write Home challenge, and all I can think is, “Vikings colors? WHAT? Don’t they know I live in Wisconsin?”

Ha ha! Sorry, Allison, it’s a great color challenge. 🙂

And anyhow, I was assembling this card just last night -serendipity or what?? – and I left the sentiment for this morning. Now, it does have a little more pink than purple but we’re going to call it close enough, okay? It has purple. It has yellow. I totally followed the rules.

I updated my stamps for sale page way up there  at the top if you’re interested. I have so much more to clear out! Please feel free to make offers if you think a price is too high. I’m happy to discount shipping if you buy more than one item! 🙂

Oh, and if you are still wanting to purchase the Paper Smooches Circle of Honor set for OWH, it’s on Blitsy right now for $11! 🙂 I am coveting that Superhero PS stamp set, but alas, it’s not in the budget today. :/

OWH sketch 217 – howdy, cowboy

Hello!

time for another great Operation Write Home sketch. I haven’t been doing the best with these lately but today is my birthday, so everyone is letting me have a little time to do my own thing. 😉 Bonus – this card fell together in minutes. LOVE that – it hardly EVER happens! This is sketch 217.

{patriotic} love card

I’m doing the 7 posts for 7 days, so here’s a quick card share for today.

Awhile back I was making card kits and cut a bunch of ribbon before I assembled a card to make sure it looked good. Helpful hint: don’t do that. Make one, then cut pieces. So, I had a bunch of ribbon cut and no idea what to do with it… and then somehow I ended up making a bunch of patriotic love cards. I can’t say I have ever made one before, but I love the end result!

It’s difficult to see in the photo, but the cream is embossed with tiny hearts!

Linking up also with the Blitsy link up! LOVE my new PS stamps from blitsy (and I ogle the offerings every day!) 🙂

Thanks for visiting me today! Tomorrow: mom-ified bathtub remodel – not a Barbie in sight! YES!

OWH sketch 213 and something I’ve learned

Hello! It’s Sunday and time for another card making sketch from Operation Write Home. I’m participating in the 7 posts in 7 days linkup over at Conversion Diary, so this is post #2 for the day. I’m counting it as a bonus in case I miss another day. 🙂

Here is the sketch for today, and my cards:

What I’ve learned about myself: I don’t follow instructions well. And yes, I know sketches are “inspiration” and all that, but I’m taking an exercise class and one of the instructors (it meets Tu/Th and has a different teacher for each day) consistently singles me out to correct me.  So I must not follow directions well!  That or I am a very bad exerciser, which is also a possibility. Anyhow, I didn’t MEAN to flip this but I cut the banner going the wrong direction. So there.

I got that Paper Smooches set on Blitsy! They have more Paper Smooches right now, and man, was it hard to resist! I love their sentiments and fonts! Every Sunday there is “Sunday brunch” from 10-3, I think, where you can get 30% off one item. Check it out!

Thanks for visiting me today. Have a great week, friends!

OWH MWT – donut be sad

Hello!

Today’s Operation Write Home challenge is to make punny cards. Recently, Unity Stamp Co. made some punny stamps and I bought this one, which sadly sat un-inked until now. No more! It’s super cute, though I do wish it was a bit bigger!

I’m also linking this up with Unity’s Friends with Flair Friday link up! Be sure to head back to the unity blog and check out all of the cool projects. 🙂

Thanks for visiting me today! I am still trying to clear out some stamps, won’t you take a look and see if there’s anything you need? (Look up at the top for the sale page, right under the photo header!) 🙂 Make me an offer!

OWH MWT – cards for teens, giveaway

The challenge for Operation Write Home today is to make kid cards. I went for teen cards, as they can’t be as cutesy as kid cards but not as adult as well… adult cards. Doh! It’s been a long morning already and I’m trying to lose weight and I’m HUNGRY. LOL I just got back from daily Mass – it’s Catholic Schools week! The Bishop was here to celebrate Mass with our daughters’ entire Catholic school (4k-12).  That was pretty awesome, but I’m still hungry… more carrots. More carrots.

Here, just let me show you what I made:

And here’s another, though the right card is more for an adult – just consider it a bonus card for today, k?:

Okay, what else can I tell you? You know about the sale page I added up there at the top – I added 6×6 pads and lots of inks, so check it out. Also, I’m giving away a gratitude journal – just go over here, check out the one I made for my family, and comment to win one for your very own!

Ohhh, and I just saw that Blitsy has TONS of Paper Smooches (and spellbinders, and some other great brands) available! If you are looking for discount supplies, go shop. 🙂

Best,

Jen

OWH sketch 206

Hey ladies, I’m playing around with WordPress today. I’m not sure I want to import my blog from blogger just yet…  thought I’d try a post or two and see how it goes! 🙂

It’s Sunday and another sketch is ready at Operation Write Home. I had not planned to post a sketch card today, but the frigid temperatures are keeping us inside and messing with my head. A mom can only play Barbies so much, you know? 🙂

I’ve been trying to use up this Jilibean Soup pad, so yes, the colors are more suited to fall.  I’ll keep it around for a while before I send it to Sandy!
