Hello! It’s Sunday and time for another card making sketch from Operation Write Home. I’m participating in the 7 posts in 7 days linkup over at Conversion Diary, so this is post #2 for the day. I’m counting it as a bonus in case I miss another day. 🙂
Here is the sketch for today, and my cards:
Unity Stamp Co sentiment; Echo Park dp; Jililbean Soup embellishment
What I’ve learned about myself: I don’t follow instructions well. And yes, I know sketches are “inspiration” and all that, but I’m taking an exercise class and one of the instructors (it meets Tu/Th and has a different teacher for each day) consistently singles me out to correct me. So I must not follow directions well! That or I am a very bad exerciser, which is also a possibility. Anyhow, I didn’t MEAN to flip this but I cut the banner going the wrong direction. So there.
Paper Smooches chit chat; Echo Park dp
I got that Paper Smooches set on Blitsy! They have more Paper Smooches right now, and man, was it hard to resist! I love their sentiments and fonts! Every Sunday there is “Sunday brunch” from 10-3, I think, where you can get 30% off one item. Check it out!
Thanks for visiting me today. Have a great week, friends!
Today’s Operation Write Home challenge is to make punny cards. Recently, Unity Stamp Co. made some punny stamps and I bought this one, which sadly sat un-inked until now. No more! It’s super cute, though I do wish it was a bit bigger!
Unity Stamp Co; QuickKutz dies, Echo Park paper, Gina K card stock
I’m also linking this up with Unity’s Friends with Flair Friday link up! Be sure to head back to the unity blog and check out all of the cool projects. 🙂
Thanks for visiting me today! I am still trying to clear out some stamps, won’t you take a look and see if there’s anything you need? (Look up at the top for the sale page, right under the photo header!) 🙂 Make me an offer!
Hello! It’s Unity’s Friends with Flair Fridays, so I’m linking up a quick birthday card I made for my sister-in-law. Today is actually her birthday! 🙂 I have the best sisters-in-law! Be sure to head back to the Unity blog to see all of the other neat projects!
First, here is the card I made. Love that the everything kits ALSO coordinate with some of my Spellbinders:
Unity Stamps, Gina K card stock, random ribbon, Basic Grey paper
And my girls made their own Unity creations to share:
We had to make some thank you cards, and they used their own Unity stamps! Didn’t they do a great job? 🙂
Have a great weekend, ladies!
Hello and happy Cardbowl Sunday! 🙂 (The Packers aren’t playing in the Superbowl, so I really have no interest in watching… but I can get behind a crafting party ANY day!)
And JUST FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW: see my stamps for sale page up there at the top? Free shipping (in the USA) if you buy $15 or more. There’s inks, paper, and tons of great stamps. Check it out!!!!
Here is my take on the current (#210) sketch, which is intended to be masculine in honor of Cardbowl:
Lizzie Anne Designs stamp, random paper from stash, SU circle punch, Sakura jelly roll pen, Tim Holtz inks
That turned out much better than I thought as I was creating it! At one point I wanted to toss it and start over. LOL 🙂
And I have a ton… like a ton, a serious ton of that argyle paper, so I created about 35 of this sketch with different sentiments:
- Unity Stamp Co stamps
random paper from stash
SU chevron ribbon
I do have a giveaway going on for a gratitude journal. You can enter to win over here and see the one I made!
Hello there and welcome!
I’m sharing a card for Unity’s Friends with Flair today; be sure to hop back to the Unity blog to see everyone else’s projects as well! There’s always really cool projects to see!
I made this card for a friend of mine. Her husband just had (minor) surgery and I know she is feeling overwhelmed! We took them a meal last night and I made sure to also include breakfast for today. Here’s hoping she takes the time to eat herself instead of worrying about everyone else!
Unity Stamp Co: life is too short and urban chevron stamps; Echo Park, Gina K card stock, Tim Holtz inks
I’ve also added a stamps/supplies for sale tab up there at the top. Check it out if you are so inclined. 🙂
Have a GREAT weekend, friends! I am going further north this weekend, which is really rather ridiculous considering I live in Wisconsin. And oh yeah, my dad and my husband will be ice fishing. I will be staying indoors by the fire, like a sane person. 🙂
Time for an Operation Write Home mid-week throwdown and this week’s challenge is to use pastels. That’s not really my thing but I have been trying to use up the last of this Basic Grey pad, which is a lot of pastels, and so this challenge was very timely. I’ve really struggled with this 6×6 as I’m just not inspired by the colors and patterns.
I decided to go for simple and make a masculine and a feminine card.
Supplies: Basic Grey papers, Gina K card stock, random ribbon from stash, heart and sentiments by Unity Stamp Co
This awesome sentiment kit is one of the ‘everything’ kits by Unity Stamp Co. I’ve purchased a couple of the kits and I really, really like them! (Hint: wait for a sale. They go down to $12 often!)
FYI – I did add a for sale page (see the tab at the top?) and there are several things left of my initial purge. I am working on purge #2 today and I have a lot of inks to list. I should have it updated by tonight if you are interested, so email me or check back later.
Also, if you haven’t visited Blitsy yet – go there! It’s a discount crafting site (with paper crafts, yarn, jewelry making things, etc). I found Paper Smooches and Spellbinders there the past couple of weeks, and this week there are some Unity and Maya Road stamps! Go check it out!
Thanks for visiting me today!
It’s Friday; isn’t it? This week has just flown by! My eldest daughter turned 8 yesterday and I’ve been busy today preparing for her birthday party tomorrow.
Today I also realized that I always panic when Christmas is over and I realize that I’m completely out of birthday cards, and we have several family birthdays in January. And since I had the sewing machine out making party favor bags, and it’s Unity’s Friends with Flair day…

Unity’s ‘everything wonderful’
Thanks for visiting me today! be sure to hop back to the Unity blog for lots more inspiration!
Hello friends! It’s my last day as Growing in Unity girl for Unity Stamp Co. My daughter’s favorite board book is What Should we Do with the Boo Hoo Baby so I won’t be all boo hoo hoo because truth is this week was so much fun… but I’m not sorry to see it end because it doesn’t end!! We have the Unity Facebook page, Pinterest, and Friends with Flair every Friday for inspiration and camaraderie. 🙂
This is kind of going to be a show-and-tell kind of post but with more showing and less telling, ’cause I know you all have more important things to do:
Mini cards; thought these might be a fun thing to tuck in a teacher gift for Christmas:
|Jillibean Soup/Unity Jolly Good Fun (left)
Unity’s Christmas Bough set (right)
Marvy Urchida markers/gel pens
This stamp is completely underwhelming if you do not emboss it. Know what I also
hate am allergic to, besides coloring? Heat embossing, though I did it anyway ’cause I like you guys… Oh, and loose glitter too. Did I tell you my daughter’s Halloween costume was sparkly and shed glitter? Guess who is still cleaning up glitter eight days later... I’m not sure what happened with the color here. The green appears much less neon-like in real life.
|Unity Christmas bough
Gina K card stock; SU ribbon
Then I thought I might try it on the kraft. My sentiment inks did not get fabulous coverage so it’s slightly underwhelming. Love this big branch though!!

Thank you for visiting me! Unity will give two Itty Bitty’s to a winner from the comments I received this week, so go back to the previous posts and comment if you haven’t already done so – better odds are a good thing! And then go shop, cause those new punny stamps are AMAZING. 🙂
Welcome back! If you missed any of my previous Growing in Unity posts this week, be sure to go back and comment for your chance to win Unity stamps. 🙂
Today I am all about the snow people. Did I ever tell you that I
hate am allergic to coloring? I am. It’s true. I don’t buy stamps I have to color… and that is why I have a deep and abiding love for snow people stamps, because you can just color a tiny bit and they look great.

Unity Stamp Co – you melt my heart itty bitty
Really Reasonable ribbon – burlap ribbon
Marvy Urchida markers
Thanks for visiting me today! come back tomorrow for my last Growing in Unity post; I just might have an EXTRA giveaway for you! 🙂
Hello! It’s me again, back with day 3 as a GIU girl for Unity Stamp Co. 🙂 If you missed day 1 or day 2, be sure to hop back to leave comments to win some Itty Bitty’s!
Today I have a card made with one of my favorite sketches:
|Unity – you give me butterflies (image) and snowflake kisses (sentiment)
My Mind’s Eye vanity fair papers
Seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon
One of the things I love about Unity is that you can use their sets interchangeably. There are so many sentiments that I mix up to use with different images. I’m more a sentiment girl than anything else and I go back to about 10 of my favorite Unity sentiments over and over again. 🙂
Unity is allowing me to do a giveaway of 2 Itty Bitty stamps this week, so be sure to come back each day and comment to win!
