I was digging through my stash of random stuff (doesn’t every crafter have one of those? I swear my little bin of odd bits and ends multiplies when I sleep!) and found this great background that I wanted to use for this sketch. I used my trusty nail file to rough up the dark brown piece and bent it up a bit, then mounted it on dimensionals. I inked the edges of the light brown piece and then added the journalling tag. I really like how this one turned out! 🙂 Not bad for a card from the odds & ends bin, eh? LOL!
Be sure to play along here!
Nice card, Jen! I love the distressing and the script background. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
Great choice for the background. Love the distressing and the inking of the edges (wish I had thought about that on mine).. beautiuful card, thanks for sharing ~ Pam
Jen your card is great! Sometimes the “odds & ends” cards are the best ones 🙂

It is so pretty ….. and from scraps!!! Love it!
Wonderful card. You file did a great job and I love the sentiment. That is one of my all time favorite background stamps. Thank you for sharing.
I really like this card– love that it was from scraps!
Glad to know I'm not the only one who uses a nail file to distress! Love the neutral look of your card!
Very classy card Jen. I love the script background and the browns are very sophisticated together. I know just what you mean about the odds-n-ends multiplying too, LOL!
